WordCamp Cincinnati Wins American Marketing Association Award
OhioGhostWriter helped develop digital marketing strategies that drove local WordCamp brand awareness from 0 awareness to 229 registered participants within a 4-month timeframe. After clearly defining multiple WordCamp personas — ranging from speakers, sponsors, WordPress neophytes through WordPress experts, carefully crafted content was deployed across multiple digital channels to facilitate rapid discovery and to encourage social media shares. Working on a shoestring budget, “free” digital assets were utilized for message amplification to drive awareness increase participation for the inaugural Cincinnati WordCamp 2016.
Among the phenomenal results occurring within 4 months:
• Attendee enrollment went from 0 to 229
• 45 speakers submitted proposals
• 21 sponsors enlisted
• 25 people volunteered
• Nearly 20,000 website hits
• 100% of postconference survey participants rated event as good or better
